Ellen uses a strength-based and person-centered approach. Empathy and shared humanity are two of her top values. She seeks to create a non-judgmental space for each client to heal and become their whole selves. As she works to become a Registered Play Therapist, she enjoys bringing creative and playful modalities into therapy, including art and sandtray.

She has 13 years of experience working with children and adolescents as a classroom teacher and in sexual assault and exploitation prevention. As a former Kindergarten teacher and as a mom, Ellen believes in the power of play and the ability to heal. She also has experience teaching trauma awareness programs to educators and professionals in the community.

Her ideal clients are children (ages 3+), teens, and adult women. Ellen works with anxiety, depression, grief, school & behavioral concerns and trauma. She also does parenting coaching based on a positive parenting and healthy attachment.
